7 Advanced SEO Tips from Tampa SEO Expert, Gerrid Smith

When you’re a little fish in a large, very competitive (read: niche) pond, improving your organic search results can seem like a pipe dream.

In some cases, your competitors are industry giants.

They are backed by seemingly millions of websites and endless dollars to spend on links and SEO. So how do you ever outbid them to gain visibility, attract searchers, and convert visitors?

You don’t need to overstate your marketing budget. It really is. So go ahead and close that “Best Business Loans 2022” tab.

Because here you’ll learn seven advanced yet cheap SEO tips – which ironically neglect large companies – you can implement on your site to improve your rankings in a reasonable amount of time with the help of a local Tampa SEO expert.

#1: Build backlinks to your backlinks

The more high-quality backlinks you build to your website, the better your ranking will be.

You know this, which is why you have worked hard writing and posting articles on high domain authority sites that are trusted by both search engines and searchers. This is an excellent starting point.

But there is something important to remember: If articles that include your backlink do not rank well (yes, even authoritative sites can get lost in search results!), All that time, energy and tears of content creation will be wasted.

So, to maximize the juice of each backlink – i.e. how much value and authority it transmits to your website – you need to go beyond that.

More specifically, you will need to embed backlinks into your backlinks. This increases the likelihood that your backlinks will donate the most juice to your website for maximum ranking benefits.

Here is a more concrete example.

Suppose you have a backlink from page X. Instead of leaving it in place, you can write an article on page Y and link to X in it. The ultimate goal is to get as many pages as possible in the top 100 Google results pointing to your site, and not competition.

#2: Create multiple subpages under your primary “money pages”

High-volume competing keywords (such as “carpets”, “headphones”, and “dining table”) are very difficult to rank.

And the secret to achieving this is to create many subpages that are targeted at more and more detailed, complex keywords.

For example, suppose you run a furniture store.

One home page – or “parent” page – you might have is for dining tables. You can then create subpages (ie, “children’s” pages) for “4-seater dining tables”, “6-seater dining tables” and “8-seater dining tables”.

Where possible, you can continue to add layers of detail, for example by creating “grandchildren” pages such as “real wood quadruple tables”.

In addition to simply improving the ranking of the parent page, these subpages can also improve conversion rates, as long-term keywords are usually high-intention keywords where users are ready to make a purchasing decision. Once you’ve built all of those sub-pages and grandchildren, be sure to backlinks on those pages as well. Too many Tampa SEO experts focus all their resources on the main money pages and neglect the subpages (which pass the link juice to the money pages).

#3: Complement organic SEO with PPC marketing

What is the likelihood that you will buy something from a company or brand if this is your first interaction with them? Chances are it’s close to zero.

These days, most buyers do online research before buying to make sure they are making the best possible choice – which means they will want to go through a lot of search results before buying.

To make sure you stay the center of attention as you move through the different stages of your consumer journey, consider using PPC to complement your organic search rankings.

The more often you appear on the first page of search results, the more authoritative and trustworthy you will be addressing your visitor.

And this will affect your conversion rate a lot of great things. Most Tampa SEO agencies tend to believe that all your resources should be dedicated to SEO, but your goal as a business owner is to build as many channels as possible that have a positive ROI impact.

#4: Get more authoritative SEO backlinks with HARO

Creating backlinks (and backlinks to backlinks) is a huge reduction in time.

What if you can get high-quality backlinks without blocking large chunks of your calendar to bring out fresh content?

Sounds too good to be true? HARO proves that it does not.

On this cool little site you’ll find over 75,000 journalists – from The New York Times to Reuters and TIME – seeking knowledge (such as quotes and insights) to help them create their content.

After registering your account, you will receive three e-mails a day, Monday through Friday, with requests from reporters and the media around the world.

If you have knowledge of any of the topics, you can record a quick reply to a reporter. This will give you a backlink to your website if all goes well (i.e. the reporter will use your reply). Talk about low workload and high ROI.

#5: Find ways to improve the user experience

Imagine landing on a site that is cluttered, overwhelming, and difficult to navigate.

Would you still be wasting time clicking here and there, or would you press the “x” button to browse faster other websites that meet your needs? Yes. Other one.

So, to maximize the amount of time visitors spend on your site (which, by the way, is a signal of your “value” to search engines), it’s a good idea to let a Tampa SEO expert improve the user experience on your site.

Here are two strategies you can use:

· Clear and concise navigation: make sure you implement clear navigation with plain language for the navigation headers. In other words, don’t get too creative with your naming. Stick to the usual “Home”, “About”, “Blog” etc. Leave personality to the rest of the site.

Increase the persuasion of your copy: read your web pages. Are there any problematic words or phrases that have the potential to deter visitors? Sometimes, a slight change of words is all it takes to extend the stay of visitors to your site.

#6: Add a FAQ section to the bottom of your pages (where applicable)

Generally, search engines prefer content-rich websites.

But let’s be honest. If you want your browsing experience to be enjoyable, for example, there is an unspoken maximum length on a product page before you become the ostentatious, obnoxiously talkative aunt you only see on Christmas Day.

There is a workaround for this. And that’s in the form of an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section.

Well-done FAQ sections can be a double win.

They provide valuable content that users want to see (e.g. do you deliver products worldwide), and search engines want to position themselves.

That said, take note of the keywords “when done right”. Combining random questions and answers together – and then copying and pasting them completely on the page – won’t do.

Instead, you’ll want to follow these tips:

· Only include questions that users are looking for: be selective. Five to ten questions always work well.

· Format with User Convenience in Mind: Save your visitors the agony of scrolling through passages of text before they find the answer they are looking for. Expand / collapse FAQ section; format your questions and answers as tabs on the accordion.

#7: Turbocharge your website and rankings with improved loading speed

Currently, over 50% of web traffic comes from mobile devices. Your website may be responsive on mobile, but is it fast?

Every second counts. Google research suggests that when a mobile page load time is between one second and five seconds, the likelihood of bounces increases by 90%. Jump from 1 second to 10 seconds and the rebound probability is increased by 123%.

So what’s there to go? The faster the better.

Don’t worry: There are a lot of low-hanging fruits when optimizing your mobile page speed.

Here are three examples to get you started:

Minimize resources (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)

· Implement a WordPress plugin for mobile optimization, e.g. NitroPack (if you are using WordPress)

This is crucial, and we believe that too many Tampa SEO experts are focusing their full attention on links and content and not enough on user experience and speed.

How much time and frustration would you save with professional help from a Tampa SEO expert?

Now I will not lie. While many of these techniques seem relatively easy to implement, you’ll find that this is far from the truth when you delve into it.

Take, for example, creating subpages.

It will likely take afternoons to come up with meta tags and page descriptions for parents, children, and grandchildren.

This is time you could use to focus on other, possibly more important, aspects of your business (customer response, research and development, etc.).

Well, here’s the good news: when you engage my Tampa SEO company, Fortress SEO, my team and I will take your website positioning off your mind – so you can work on your business instead of your business. Our knowledge has helped me personally build many seven- and eight-digit companies over the years.

Your business might be next. it starts here.
