College Club West is pleased to announce a scholarship program to support students from Ukraine. The program includes a Dear Ukraine global community poem, written by Julia Kolchinksy Dasbach. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine through poetry and music.
The book promotes solidarity in the Black Sea region while warning of inter-ethnic relations between the two countries. It highlights the tragic fate of the Crimean Tatars, a Sunni Muslim national minority, who were forced into cattle carts and sent to a special settlement camp in the Urals. This tragic event led to the death of thousands of Crimean Tatars.
