New Apprenticeship and Effective Spend Formalize Partnership to Bring Tech Careers to Talent in Underrepresented Communities

SAN ANTONIO, December 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – New Apprenticeship (NEW), a federally registered technical apprenticeship program, and Effective Spend, an Austin-based digital marketing agency, formalize their partnership after a successful collaboration since 2018. NEW and Effective consumption creates technology-focused opportunities for underrepresented job seekers with a passion for digital marketing. The partnership will work to address current technological labor shortages and skills shortages to offer a range of capable candidates ready for the job in the industry.

Effective Spend’s knowledge was an integral part of providing thought guidance to apprentices in NEW programs. Through partnership instruction and curriculum design, NEW has leveraged Effective Spend’s expertise in digital marketing to equip current and past students with the necessary technical skills to advance in early career roles. NEW’s curriculum design process provides tailored training and ensures that apprentices acquire all the skills needed to advance in their specific roles. Effective spending has already benefited from the NEW “learn while you earn” model of apprenticeship. The company currently employs several talented individuals who started as apprentices in the NEW’s program and are succeeding in their careers.

In a recent study by WILEY, a global research and education organization, nearly 70% of jobs in the U.S. acknowledge a lack of diversity in their business. NEW and Efficient Consumption are aware of the urgent need for diversity in technology and seek to open the door to under-represented candidates by providing superior education and teaching.

Both companies are recording significant growth and will use this momentum to achieve their goals. NEW recently closed $ 2.5 million in initial funding led by the ECMC Group’s Education Impact Fund to expand its team and reach, and Effective Spend recently purchased a new 20,000-square-foot office space to accommodate their growing team.

Effective Spend will acquire more interns specializing in digital marketing and digital content. The Creative Designer Strategist will combine digital design and data analysis to inform high-level performance-oriented creatives and strategies to be presented to clients. Selected individuals for the roles of Digital Marketing Expert (PPC) and Digital Content Expert (SEO) will undergo extensive training on PPC or SEO depending on their team while working directly with clients to help them increase quality web traffic and increase conversions. Roles will work with an expert team to learn industry best practices and master the technological tools and analytical skills that have helped Effective Spend provide superior digital marketing services to its clients.
