Most voice searches are questions of information, such as asking when or if the brand is not cruel. Getting your text read out for these types of queries doesn’t necessarily drive conversions or traffic. Instead it improves the relationship between users and smart devices. It’s great for users, great for smart tech brands, but does it give you anything back? Probably not. Exceptions here are often for local businesses – you can ask if a local store is still open, or for a nearby restaurant. It’s less about specific voice optimization, and more about making sure your business is listed correctly and accurate schema data is provided to help smart homes define your local application and service information.
